1. Socialization Square
Location: Rotary Park
Description: Explore the open spaces and walking paths of Rotary Park for socialization, long-leash obedience, and meeting other dogs and owners.
- The park provides a relaxed environment for positive interactions.
- Has a big open field that is great for nervous dogs to sniff and explore with their nose.
- There is a fenced in dog park at this location, use it at your discretion but please be careful of nuisance dogs.
- I do not utilize dog parks, but I will train outside of the park, walking up and down using the dogs as a distraction during my training!
2. Obedience Oasis
Location: Whistle Stop Park
Description: Whistle Stop Park offers a tranquil setting for obedience training.
- Utilize the park's green spaces, pavilions, and walking trails for leash training, basic commands, and reinforcing good behavior.
- Directly across from a school so it's very busy after school hours and on the weekends.
- Use the workout stations for agility drills, and place commands to build confidence.
- There is a skatepark to build your dog's confidence around skateboards, scooters and bicycles.
- There is a fenced in dog park at this location, use it at your discretion but please be careful of nuisance dogs.

3. Distraction Drive
Location: Publix Shopping Plaza (US1 and Roberts RD)
Description: Train in the commercial area along US-1 and Roberts Road, providing various distractions like traffic, pedestrians, and stores.
- This location is ideal for desensitizing dogs to urban stimuli, helping them maintain focus amidst different surroundings.
- Standing in front of the entrances of Publix can be great indirect socialization for your dog to teach them to ignore people.
4. Fearless Field
Location: E Central Region Rail Trail and Cow Creek (Bike Trail)
Description: E Central Region Rail Trail provides open trails away from common disturbances.
- An excellent location for working with dogs dealing with fear or anxiety, allowing them to build confidence surrounded by nature.
- Ideal for working with dogs dealing with fear or anxiety, allowing them to build confidence at their own pace.
- Can be busy on the weekends, as the trail is connected to the parking lot on Park Ave, at Rotary Park.
- This parking lot is on your right about a quarter mile when you turn onto cow creek from 442.
5. Canine Confidence Corner
Location: Hawks Park
Description: Explore the area around Hawks Park and build your dog's confidence in a calm environment.
- This is an excellent spot for building your dog's confidence in a low-stress environment, particularly suitable for shy or anxious dogs.
- Great area for training if your dog struggles to focus around children.
- Plenty of space to create distance if needed.
6. Recall Ridge
Location: River Breeze Park
Description: The trails and open spaces at River Breeze Park provide a scenic backdrop for recall training.
- Practice coming when called amidst the park's natural beauty, with various distances and distractions. (use a long leash)
- There are a few good areas to train in this park so don't worry about not having to space to train even though its partly a boat ramp!
- Plenty of Parking.
7. Behavior Beach
Location: Menard Park Riverside Area
Description: The Riverside area of Menard Park is perfect for addressing water-related behaviors.
- Enjoy a scenic location to build water confidence and work on behaviors along the riverfront.
- Great spot to teach your dog to ride a kayak.
- Beautiful walk down riverside drive with lots of opportunities to meet and pass people and dogs.
- Lots of distractions like boats, people fishing, and laying volleyball.
- Plenty of Parking.
8. Manners Meadow
Location: George R. Kennedy Memorial Park and Boat Ramp
Description: The George R. Kennedy Memorial Park and Boat Ramp is a smaller park along the riverside drive.
- If you go north down riverside drive, it will bring you to some no parking, grassy areas that would be great for reinforcing good manners and polite behavior or just working on stay and/or recall.
- Ideal for practicing polite greetings with other dogs and people.
- Riverside Drive is very busy ion the morning and evenings.
